GPPS Grades:

General-purpose polystyrene is the low-cost member of the plastics family. Properties of the amorphous polymer include hardness, rigidity, optical clarity, dimensional stability, and excellent processibility.

Because GPPS resins possess excellent transparency, mold ability, heat stability and low specific heat, they are very economical in injection or extrusion processes. In addition, because they are available in various grades, the range of choice is very wide, depending on use. Grades are classified depending on manufacturing method, in other words, changes in processing conditions or quantity of additives. There are general purpose, high flow, high heat resistance, high rigidity, extrusion molding and high transparent grades.

General Purpose Poly Styrene grades are available in ground chips form. Granulation is done exclusively on orders. The following are the grades available in this:

(1)GPPS Natural Chips
(2)GPPS Translucent Red Chips
(3)GPPS Translucent Green Chips
(4)GPPS Translucent Blue Chips
(5)GPPS Double Super Black Granules

HIPS Grades:

High-impact polystyrene is generally recognized as the best styrenic material for load bearing applications. Typical applications include food packaging (cups, lids, take-out containers), house wares, office products and video and audiocassettes. Ignition-resistant plastic grades are used in radio and TV housings High impact polystyrene materials are available in the following grades:

(1)HIPS Colours
(2)HIPS Super Black
(3)HIPS Double Super Black

ABS Grades:

Acrylo nitrile butadyne styrene resins are hard, rigid, and tough, even at low temperatures. They consist of particles of a rubber like toughener suspended in a continuous phase of styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) copolymer. Various grades of these amorphous, medium-priced thermoplastics are available offering different levels of impact strength, heat resistance, flame retardance, and platability.

Most natural ABS resins are translucent to opaque, and they can be pigmented to almost any color. Grades are available for injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, foam molding, and thermoforming. Molding and extrusion grades provide surface finishes ranging from satin to high gloss. Some ABS grades are designed specifically for electroplating. Their molecular structure is such that the plating process is rapid, easily controlled and economical. ABS plastics offer a good balance of tensile strength, impact and abrasion resistance, dimensional stability, surface hardness, rigidity, heat resistance, low-temperature properties, chemical resistance and electrical characteristics. These materials yield plastically at high stresses, so ultimate elongation is seldom significant in design; a part usually can be bent beyond its elastic limit without breaking, although it does stress-whiten. While not generally considered flexible, ABS parts have enough spring to accommodate snap-fit assembly requirements.
Acrylo nitrile butadyne styrene materials are available in the following grades:

(1)ABS Colours
(2)ABS Super Black
(3)ABS Double Super Black
